X-Blades Collector’s Edition Announced

TopWare, earlier this week made an announcement regarding their highly anticipated action-adventure game X-Blades, which is sure to make enthused gamers salivate and curse the seemingly endless month-long wait until the game reaches stores on January 14, 2009. The days may pass a little more slowly, and work may seem a little more monotonous (as if that’s even possible), but there is light at the end of the tunnel and that light just got a bit brighter.

X-Blades will be released as planned, but a special collector’s edition will be sitting beside it. TopWare seems to have a knack for producing high quality and worthwhile items to accompany their games in these bundles (Earth 2160 and Two Worlds), and there is no reason to believe that their X-Blades Collector’s Edition will be anything less than the pristine standard the company prides itself on.

This bundle is slated to include a 22 cm. hand-painted statue of Ayumi, an art book illustrating the game, a soundtrack CD, a double-theme poster, and if that wasn’t enough, a strategy guide. In addition, the PC collector’s edition version of the game will include a mouse pad, an added bonus for all the PC gamers out there.

X-Blades, a hack-and-slash styled adventure game, will put players in control of Ayumi, a scantily clad treasure hunter, who wards off enemies using her twin blades, double guns, or magic spells, adding up to a perfect combination for the male gamer.

The game has built up a solid fan base over the last few months with its intriguing premise and eye-catching character. The news of the collector’s edition version is sure to push excitement to an all time peak, now fans just have to tough it out and wait a little while longer. In the end, it’ll definitely be worth it.
