The King’s Clothing Line: Conan Meets Armani
Conan the Cimmerian; Barbarian, Thief, Gladiator, King, and…..fashion trendsetter? What is wrong with this picture? When we think of Conan the Barbarian, we are reminded of the above-mentioned titles—minus the fashion designer one—as well as all the goodies that come with them: tons of violence and gallons of blood. However, as farfetched as “Conan the Designer” sounds, it’s true. However, unlike his previous deeds and titles, this one was not of his hand.
The party responsible for the upcoming clothing line is Inno-Wear, a French company that has made clothing based on other video games, including Gears of War 2 and Devil May Cry.

Inno-Wear has stated they have the full marketing support of the game publisher, and the new clothing will be available in Europe by the end of this year. If it will ever be for sale in our corner of the world is anyone’s guess.
After hearing about this, I was more than a bit intrigued. I’ve seen both Conan movies, and I seriously doubt people are going to wear this type of clothing on a regular basis. Unless another Conan movie were released, and all the hardcore Conan fans went cosplay-crazy, a la hardcore Star Wars fans. Either way, you probably won’t be seeing the female prisoner’s costume (left) on the racks at Wal-Mart or Target.
Personally, I still prefer the Slave Bikini outfit worn by Princess Leia, but whatever floats your boat.
