Zeitgeist Review - October 12th, 2009
Business, PC, Review
Ah Square Enix, you’ve given us some great times over the years. Your role playing games have drawn me into the greatest fantasy adventures. It’s fair to say, that you are the best and most dominant role-playing game developer in the world.
You have such a successful track record with what you do best, so why would you try to deviate from your path and team up with developer WarGaming.net to create a real time strategy game? You make RPGs, that’s it. You’re not a jack-of-all-trades, you’re not Activision or Electronic Arts. I’m almost offended that you made me waste my time on this title that I found so boring that I couldn’t even finish it! That’s right. On September 22nd, Square Enix and Wargaming.net released for the PC, Order of War, a World War 2 RTS, and let me tell you, it sucks!

Developed by Finnish developer Frozenbyte, and published by Southpeak Interactive, Trine was released to the PC in July, and will be released to the PlayStation Network sometime in October, and eventually on Xbox Live, all for 20 bucks.
Trine puts you in control of three heroes with different abilities in one of the most beautiful games I’ve ever seen. I actually had to stop playing many times, just to stand there and look at the wonderfully detailed and dazzling environments. If for nothing else, you should check this game out just for the stunning visuals.

Castle Crashers was released a year ago and it got many great reviews. Well after my friends and I had such a terrible experience with TMNT: Turtles in Time - Re-Shelled last week, we needed another 4-player co-op to test out and enjoy ourselves.
Well Castle Crashers did not disappoint! It’s a beautifully hilarious gem and we had an absolute blast playing it!

Well it’s finally here; the much-anticipated next-generation Batman game has made it’s way to our hands on the Xbox 360, PS3 and the PC. After so many of the terrible Batman games of the past, I was really skeptical going into this game.
Though, we’ve seen that the current generation of consoles have the power to do a super hero justice with games such as X-Men Origins: Wolverine, but does developer Rocksteady Studios and publisher Eidos Interactive have what it takes to really make you feel like the true badass that Batman is supposed to be?
Well strap on your black leather and let’s hop in the batmobile, because we’re goin for a ride! This is Batman: Arkham Asylum!

TMNT: Turtles in Time - Re-Shelled is a remake of the early 90s arcade game TMNT: Turtles in Time with a fresh new facelift, keeping everything else intact and identical to the original. Supporting 4-player co-op over Xbox Live, you and your friends can play as Leonardo, Donatello, Michelangelo and Raphael! But does it this old game re-made, stand the test of time?

Tales of Monkey Island: The Siege of Spinner Key was just released and you better believe I couldn’t wait to get my hands on it. After just completing the first episode “Launch of the Screaming Narwhal”, I simply couldn’t wait to see what was going to happen to Guybrush Threepwood next!.
The Siege of Spinner Key puts Guybrush on the Jerkbait Islands and of course has to solve a bunch of mysteries on his quest to rescue his wife Elaine, stop the evil LeChuck, and cure the evil voodoo pox spreading all over the Caribbean!
