Microsoft Sued For Xbox 360 Defects
California’s consumer protection statutes have allowed a lawsuit to be filed in the Sacramento Country Superior Court against Microsoft. Allegedly, too many Xbox 360 consoles have been failing, or have been getting what most 360 owners are familiar with and live in fear of: “the red ring of death.” In addition, the lawsuit argues that Microsoft knew about the failure rate of the Xbox 360, but released it anyway in order to compete with the launch of the PlayStation 3 and Nintendo Wii.
