I’m not going to lie: I didn’t spend all my time in college going to class and studying. And no, the rest of the time wasn’t spent partying non-stop, either (though it was easily an option, considering most of our school was made up of frats with school-assigned beer allowances). A lot of nights were spent “writing papers,” or, browsing the internet for about five hours before actually writing a paper. That was when YTMND.com and PoeTV began to take center stage as two of the greatest time wasters ever invented. And that was when Garbage Day made its first of many, many subsequent appearances.
Nothing’s cuter than a baby kitten. Except maybe an army of kittens, charging your video camera in all their mewing glory. I have to imagine after they pass our field of vision, they melded together to form a kitten Voltron of rainbow happiness, melting everything in sight with its adorabeam.™
What happens when a ton of celebrities get together to educate America on the inner workings of our political machine through song and dance? “Proposition 8 — The Musical.” Enjoy.
Thanks to the NXE and streaming Netflix videos, I’ve been introduced to, become acquainted with, and fallen madly in love with 30 Rock. But mostly Tracy Morgan as Tracy Jordan on 30 Rock. And mostly his novelty party song, “Werewolf Bar Mitzvah.” I’ve had those four lines of lyrics in my head for two weeks straight. The full song can be heard here, but the chorus is the real gold.
In honor of the recent romantic spirit—James Mielke proposing to his girlfriend with the help of Final Fantasy legends, Christmas commercials begging my boyfriend to buy me jewelry I don’t want–and Chrono Trigger’s recent re-release, today’s Video of the Day celebrates the joining of these two in ways the schmoopiest RPG nerds have only dreamed of. One hacked copy of Chrono Trigger, one inserted mountain of nostalgia, and one girlfriend playing through the game for the first time make this one of the most touching and enviable proposals to date.
Nope, this has absolutely nothing to do with video games, but I like it and I think you will, too. Rafael Casal is a regular on Def Poetry Jam and is seen at this live show discussing the affliction of Attention Deficit Disorder.
Some videos are destined, from the moment they are filmed, to become YouTube sensations. This is one of those videos. I know it’s not game related, and it’s a bit long; but trust me—it’s worth your while.
In the quest to dick around on YouTube as efficiently as possible, I’ve sought out humorous animations that can kill time efficiently and I’ve found that the best ones all seem to link back to aniboom.com. Well, I decided to take my YouTube surfing over to aniBoom for a little while and was pleasantly surprised to find I had laughed my ass clean off in a pretty short amount of time at a number of top-notch animated web series. One such series is Chris Voigt’s Angry Dog, which follows the exploits of George, an appropriately angry dog, and his roommates Terri and Herb, a brown bear and giant lobster, respectively. In honor of Thanksgiving, here is a munchy-inducing entry into the Angry Dog series.
