Rockstar Gives Gamers a Late Valentines Present
With the upcoming release of the Xbox 360 Grand Theft Auto IV expansion, The Lost and Damned, Rockstar is celebrating by giving players a bit of a gift. Starting at 9am (PST) on February 17th, players of both the original GTA IV and The Lost and Damned will be presently surprised to find that they do not need an Xbox LIVE Gold membership to play online with friends. This free service will only last for six days; however, the official end time for the free service is February 22nd at 11:59pm (PST). This is just long enough to get yourself re-hooked on the game and make you want to renew your Gold membership.
If you think that’s not enough, there will also be special events based around GTA IV and its expansion throughout the week as well. Including, but not limited to, a chance “Game With Fame” with Hip Hop DJ and producer Statik Selektah, being able to play GTA IV with some of the minds behind the game, an “Xbox All Nighter”, and multiple sweepstake promotions. For more information on the events and six free days of online multiplayer in GTA IV and it’s new expansion, check out the official website.
