The Beatles: Rock Band Abbey Road Commerical
After watching The Beatles: Rock Band presentation at E3, I’m sure the game is going to speak to a lot of classic rock and music fans. When gamers consider that The Beatles are one of the most influential bands to the most wide variety of genres, and the game covers the band’s whole discography, there is going to be a huge amount of content to keep the fans happy.
MTV Games and Harmonix released a new commercial for The Beatles: Rock Band recreating the Abbey Road album cover photo shoot from 1969. After taking a look at the commercial, without the evolution of video editing and computer aided animation, this commercial could have never been made. It’s interesting, but also a little disturbing.
As I’m sure you’ve heard, The Beatles are coming to Rock Band. The Fab Four announced Thursday they will be making their digital debut via a partnership with MTV and Harmonix, which looks to see the band featured in its own exclusive Rock Band title, slated for a holiday 2009 release. Of course, this is a major announcement for a plethora of reasons. The most important reason is hidden underneath the surface of this monstrous musical development. 
Earlier today, MTV and Apple Corps. held a joint press conference to announce what rumormongers have been speculating about for months: that The Beatles will be featured in a music-based video game. However, the rumors that had been flying around were that The Beatles would be featured as DLC for Rock Band 2, and that’s not quite what MTV and Apple had in mind.
