Having never played a Shin Megami Tensei title, but hearing a lot of positive reactions to the series, I was interested in playing this port of the first title. Granted the game is a little old, but the original localization of the game left a lot out and probably confused a lot of American gamers.
This updated and vastly improved edition of the game is a great way to experience the origins of the series, as it was meant to be.
Shin Megami Tensei: Persona is now in stores. If you choose to buy the game at retail, the UMD edition comes with a limited edition 2-disc soundtrack. So best bet is to go out and buy it now if you want the soundtrack to this interesting game.
Gamers who buy their PSP games through the PSN will have to wait until 10/01 when it releases. Interestingly enough, SMT: Persona releases the same day as the PSPGo.

Shin Megami Tensei has had a great life on PlayStation 2. The Japanese RPG found an unique audience in America and with each release, new fans gathered and spread news of the series to others.
Atlus is bringing a new version of the game for the PlayStation Portable in the form of Shin Megami Tensei: Persona. With this American release, there are some changes in the game.
