Retro gaming goes into overtime with the announcement of Tecmo Bowl Throwback, a remake of the classis SNES football game Tecmo Super Bowl. Coming to Playstation Network and Xbox LIVE this spring, the remake will feature refreshed “2D+3D” graphics, 32 teams and customizable rosters, classic game modes and of course online multiplayer and leaderboards.
The option to revert to old-school 2D graphics will also be there should you want to bask in that retro nostalgia. Expect good things as Southend Interactive has experience with recent remakes of classics games likeĀ Lode Runner and R-Type.
Check out screens, which include retro and remake comparison shots, after the break.
