Resident Evil 5 DLC Details and Gold Edition


Capcom has announced the new content update for Resident Evil 5. In the new DLC will be two new episodes, new costumes (Resident Evil makes an appearance), and Mercenaries Reunion which has eight new playable characters and weapons load outs.

The DLC is scheduled to be released in the Spring of 2010 for $49.99.

Resident Evil 5: Gold Edition will be the box copy of the game which will release after the DLC. PlayStation 3 users will get the game and added content on one Blu-ray disc and Xbox 360 users will receive a DVD with a token for the DLC.

Release Dates Pushed Forward (What?!)

Sometimes games get delayed to the point of no return – StarCraft: Ghost, anyone? Tears are shed, pre-orders are refunded, and gamer rage is abundant during cancellation. Like it or not, there are millions of future games out there just waiting to be delayed.

But what about those games that get pushed forward from their initially announced release date? Generally, these titles are not remembered as often as those delayed. So, to prove to you gamers that sometimes release dates get pushed forward, here is a list of those in recent times that have been released ahead of schedule.

Many of us are aware of the controversy behind Capcom’s Versus Mode for recent chart-topper Resident Evil 5. Resident Evil 5 Continues to Tease Gamers


Fans of the Resident Evil series once again have reason to rejoice! With the Japanese demo of the game released on Xbox LIVE recently and a viral campaign on the official website, Capcom is doing good work at getting the masses excited. However, does the demo of the game show off enough to make RE 4 haters drop their issues with the last game and pick up the new one without hesitation, or is it just a RE 4 clone?

Wii Can’t Handle The Evil!


The hype on Resident Evil 5 keeps increasing since there is still more information that everyone, save for the developers, do not know. However, in a recent interview Masachika Kawata, Resident Evil 5’s producer, informed fans that the game would not be coming to the Wii, at least not for a long while. The stated reason for this was that the Wii can’t handle the game’s title screen, let alone the game itself. This seems a little harsh, considering the Wii is not as underpowered as many would think.

RE5: Typewriters, New Controls, and Wesker? Oh My!


Resident Evil fans have had their eye on the fifth installment of the series since its debut announcement over three years ago. More recent information from earlier this month has fans both fired up and puzzled: the lack of the traditional typewriter save system is out, an optional new control scheme named “D-Type” has been added and, finally, the addition of a new character, Excella Gionne and long time Resident Evil badass Albert Wesker.
