King of Fighters XII is gearing up for its release and a new trailer has been released in preparation for it.
The highlights of this trailer deal with more fight demonstrations that the gamer can see. Of course, the game will be looking a lot better once it is played on a HDTV and the sprites should move with some interesting swiftness.

King of Fighters XII is looking good, the hand-drawn action is still intact. Newly released, this new gameplay trailer highlights devastating Sousai (deadlock) counters, critical counter attacks and guard attacks. King of Fighters XII may become the next big fighting game to release for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.

On the landscape of recent console releases, these hasn’t been much in the land of fun button-mashing, mindless, and straightforward titles. It seems that every developer or publisher wants to pull off the next great narrative or intense gameplay title that will surge sales into the top percentile of the month.

Normally, I constantly believe that the video game industry is on the edge of innovation. Each generation of consoles have accomplished feats that most believed in impossible. From the Pong to the Nintendo Entertainment System and from the Super Nintendo to the Sony PlayStation; these leaps were amazing. But now with the current next-generation system in the midst of their shelf lives, I don’t see the innovation happening again.
This no doubt looks like a basic PS3 hate column tossed together by a mindless “Xbot” (which I admittedly am) but it’s not. This has nothing to do with grief over the system, and everything to do with a public statement by one of the gurus behind the Playstation dynasty.
Oh, and I’d like to welcome all the die-hard fanboys who are here to bitch and moan in my comment section. While you’re here, please use proper capitalization and punctuation.
When the PlayStation 3 released in the United States in November of 2006, I was excited with all the possible applications of the system. The original price point of $500 was too much to invest and I didn’t jump into next-gen until June of 2007. Since then, the PS3 has become more than just a gaming system; it’s a media center. What should PlayStation fans expect for the future?
One of the big features of the PlayStation 3 was the user-replaceable hard drive. Many gamers replaced their PS3s with higher volume drives to take advantage of the media applications. Now with Solid State Drives beginning to trickle into the market, is the upgrade worth the money?
