The last band announced for Lego Rock Band was Blur and now MTV Games and Warner Bros. Interactive have gone back some years and brought one of the best bands around into this new family music genre title.

Two tracks will be included from Queen in the form of “We Will Rock You” and “We Are The Champions.”

Also the Queen pack DLC in the Rock Band Music Store has been released for Rock Band fans to devour.

The Beatles’ Abbey Road has been announced as the first album DLC for The Beatles Rock Band. On October 20 (Xbox 360) and October 22 (PlayStation 3), the album will be available for DLC purchase.

Other albums announced included Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band and Rubber Soul which should hit DLC portals in December.

Lego Rock Band has announced another artist joining the ranks of the game with the British band, Blur.

Mainly known in the United States for their single, “Song 2″ which was also attached to advertising when it came out is a new track for the game.

Fans of the Rock Band series will most likely buy this new expansion of the franchise not just because it features the Lego brand as avatars, but because the track list for Lego Rock band can be exported to the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 along with being compatible with the Rock Band DLC Music Store.

Transferring the track list from Lego Rock Band will cost $9.99 or 800 Microsoft Points with instructions in the game manual along with a unique code.

Rock Band changed the music rhythm game genre by adding the bass and drum kit to the equation. The Lego series also showed that family friendly games were still possible.

The combination of the two brings the party game of the Rock Band series with the style of the Lego brand and is making a game that at its core is a Rock Band game with Lego characters. Warner Bros. and MTV Games have announced that David Bowie will be in Lego Rock Band, along with his song “Let’s Dance.”

After watching The Beatles: Rock Band presentation at E3, I’m sure the game is going to speak to a lot of classic rock and music fans. When gamers consider that The Beatles are one of the most influential bands to the most wide variety of genres, and the game covers the band’s whole discography, there is going to be a huge amount of content to keep the fans happy.

MTV Games and Harmonix released a new commercial for The Beatles: Rock Band recreating the Abbey Road album cover photo shoot from 1969. After taking a look at the commercial, without the evolution of video editing and computer aided animation, this commercial could have never been made. It’s interesting, but also a little disturbing.
