Where Are They Now? Mini-boss Chronicles
Mini-bosses have it rough. Life’s final bosses, the Bowsers, Liquid Snakes, Tyrants, corporate owners, and superintendents of the world, have it easy. They usually come back to sow chaos and discord in a sequel. Mini-bosses are different. They may be children of the final boss, clones, Vice Presidents, associate editors, random animals, or principals, but the story is always the same. They slow the hero up; they get their ass kicked; and when the next game rolls around they’re kicked to the curb in favor of newer, sexier mini-bosses.
Where are some of these classic mini-bosses now, and what are they doing now that they’re out of video games? I took it upon myself to find out.

Stop your whining! I know you love it as much as I do. As indicated by all the recent articles, it’s top list fever this week! But I promise, this is the last list you’ll be seeing… this week. From me. Maybe.
So, I’m going to level with you folks today. I’m 6’ tall and around 250 pounds depending on what shoes I’m wearing. During the course of my life, I’ve been referred to as stout, husky, girthy, and even voluptuous on more than one occasion. I walk down back alleys with relative aplomb knowing that not many people want to tangle with a large bearded man, glasses or no glasses. All of that aside, there is an inordinate amount of kickass females in the world of gaming that make me quiver in my boots. 
Video games are fairly predictable in most respects, with storylines and gameplay that rarely break the mold of the genre. Maybe that’s why the following five games make you want to yell “WTF?!” when you experience their respective twists in the formula. With such originality, it should come as no surprise that these games have been touted as some of the best ever created. Then again, not all of these moments have been deemed beneficial to the game’s success.
