Speculating on the Disney-Marvel merger


kirby_mickey2Comic lovers everywhere are worried over Disney’s recent $4 billion purchase of Marvel. Granted, other comic fans, far from scared, are excited or even indifferent — the whole spectrum of emotions comes into play with big news.

Nothing is concrete yet, but this merger’s possibilities are endless. Let alone odd mashups, it could change the way we view comics, for better or worse, or even spell a new era of Marvel movie madness. Here’s a look at just three things that could happen.

Marvel vs Capcom 2: M. Bison and Magneto


Marvel vs Capcom 2 released for Xbox Live last week, granting the fans of the series on that console some respite. This may truly be the year of the fighting game genre, even if some of the releases are ports.

The final set of videos from Capcom highlight two of the deadliest villains in their respective series. Magneto has always been a difficult character to master and play against with his wide ranged attacks and normal moves that can combo into air attacks. M. Bison retained all of his deadliness from Street Fighter and became even more of a threat when combined with the right set of characters.
