On December 2nd, 2009 I headed over to Varnish Gallery in San Francisco to attend the Wake of Guybrush Threepwood, protagonist of Telltale Games’ Tales of Monkey Island. Unfortunately in Episode Four of the series, Threepwood lost his life and Telltale was reminiscing about the life and times of their ageless hero.
But more seriously, Telltale Games was showing off the last episode, Rise of the Pirate God, before its December 8th release.

Tales of Monkey Island: Lair of the Leviathan releases today for the PC and shortly after for the Nintendo Wii. This is the third episode in the series and if you haven’t seen my reviews for the previous two, you’ll want to check those out now. As to be expected, I greatly enjoyed Lair of the Leviathan, just as I enjoyed the previous two. So here is a quick update and review of what you should expect when you download your copy for this month.

Tales of Monkey Island: The Siege of Spinner Key was just released and you better believe I couldn’t wait to get my hands on it. After just completing the first episode “Launch of the Screaming Narwhal”, I simply couldn’t wait to see what was going to happen to Guybrush Threepwood next!.
The Siege of Spinner Key puts Guybrush on the Jerkbait Islands and of course has to solve a bunch of mysteries on his quest to rescue his wife Elaine, stop the evil LeChuck, and cure the evil voodoo pox spreading all over the Caribbean!

Tales of Monkey Island: Launch of the Screaming Narwhal was released on July 7th, 2009 by TellTale Games, and is the first of five in an new episodic gaming series as a sequel to the Monkey Island games! New episodes will be released once a month. Tales was released for both the PC and Nintendo Wii WiiWare.
You can purchase the entire series from TellTale.com for $35 which will allow you to download each one as they are released. Each episode of Tales may be downloaded on the Wii, for 1000 Wii Points.
