Sony has teamed up with GameStop to announced a contest exclusive to GameStop pre-order customers called: Be the Envy of the Gods.

For this sweepstakes, customers can take their receipt code for retail pre-orders or their online order confirmation number to enter at the God of War III GameStop page.

The sweepstakes includes instant prizes like masks and God of War III themes, but the weekly prizes are much more impressive.

God of War III is finally arriving on the PlayStation 3 on March 16 and in celebration, GameStop has announced another pre-order bonus for the title.

In addition to the already announced Phantom of Chaos character skin, pre-orders are now able to receive an exclusive God of War III poster signed by concept artist Andy Park.

Like all exclusive pre-order bonuses, this will be gone soon, so go out and pre-order.

Watching the trailer for Alan Wake, I nearly forgot the footage was for a game.

It’s certainly a far cry from earlier trailers, and this isn’t the only recent video game to take a more cinematic approach in its presentation. It’s good to see quality trailers for equally quality games.

Let’s just hope they’re marketed as seriously when they’re finally released, as this could bring a lot more hardcore gamers to the table.
