Gamescom 2009 has revealed a lot of good information on upcoming titles this fall and holiday season. One of those games that is releasing this fall is Need For Speed: Shift, which drops in September for all major platforms.
At GamesCom, Need For Speed: Shift revealed a new trailer highlighting the light car combat that players will have to deal with in the new “Bumpered” trailer along with new screens of some of the cars from Nissan, Aston Martin, and BMW. Need For Speed: Shift’s focus on track racing could possibly make it a new contender against Forza Motorsports and Gran Turismo, but it will have to be seen when the game releases.
Mount and Blade is all about horseback combat, swordplay, and huge battles that remind players of what it might be like to live in the medieval age. There is something great about fighting against another horseman and being able to knock them off their horse with a precise swing of a broadsword into their chest.
With the new expansion, Warband, players will now be able to battle in 64 player mulitplayer on a single map, essentially allowing two armies to face each other in a last man standing skirmish that could last longer than most people will think.
Gamescom is revealing a lot of information for upcoming titles for the fall and holiday season. Bakugan Battle Brawlers is one of those game, releasing for all consoles systems and the Nintendo DS. Based off the card game and anime, players will begins as a novice Bakugan Brawler and work through various challenges and opponents to become the best brawler around.
There are obvious comparisons to Pokemon, but considering the popularity and life so far of this series/card game, fans of the series will enjoy playing this game and creating their own unique brawler character.
Majesty 2: The Fantasy Kingdom Sim is scheduled to be released on September 18 this year. The greatest thing about the gameplay is that even though it plays like a real time strategy title, players do not have direct control of any of the characters.
Rather, the player must recruit Heroes to work for you but they can leave challenges uncompleted. At Gamescom, Paradox Interactive released a new trailer for Majesty 2 and here are some screens for viewing pleasure.
Mass Effect was one of the games that Xbox 360 gamers had to play. With the new installment releasing for the Xbox 360 and PC early next year, many gamers are waiting in anticipation at the thought of continuing the story of the series.
During Gamescom, Bioware announced a new character that will inhabit the world of Mass Effect 2 and assist Commander Sherpard during the game. The new character was announced as “Grunt,” a Krogan.
Dragon Age: Origins is one of next games releasing from Bioware. With their strong track record of impressive games, Dragon Age: Origins looks to be another solid entry in the list of classic titles from this developer.
Bioware held a press conference at the Gamescom convention and showed off a new trailer for the upcoming title.
