GDC 09: Gatheryn Impressions


game developers conference gotgameBefore I strolled to the Moscone Center to finish my last day of the Game Developers Conference, I walked over to Union Square in San Francisco to get a preview of Mindfuse Games’ Gatheryn, a steampunk MMORPG. Mindfuse Games is based out of Berkeley, CA; just over the bridge from San Francisco. During my meeting with CEO Joseph Walters and Game Studio Director Isa Anne Stamos, they explained what Gatheryn is, and what it is planned to be.

GDC 09: Paradox Interactive Presentation


game developers conference gotgameEarlier today, I went to a meeting with Paradox Interactive, where I was given quick 15 minute explanations and demonstrations of a few of their newer titles that are going to be released in 2009. Granted 15 minutes isn’t really enough time to see all a game has to offer, but each developer was concise enough to give a taste of what the final product will be.

GDC 09: America’s Army 3 Impressions


game developers conference gotgameAt 4:30 PM I walked into the W hotel to get a look at America’s Army 3, the newest title for the America’s Army series. I’ll be honest, it’s not a series I had much interest in; but now I cannot wait for it to be released. I played the original America’s Army a little a long time ago, when my PC setup was more capable of processing graphical content and it was interesting. Now with the third title in the series, it looks like things have changed a lot.
