A few weeks ago, GotGame announced its first-ever deviantART fanart contest, searching far and wide for the best gaming fanart the internet could produce. 74 very amazing entries later, we chose a grand prize winner, Nicochi’s depiction of everyone’s favorite female bounty hunter, Samus. We received a lot of genuinely awe-inspiring work, however: each of which deserves its time in the spotlight.
All of the contest winners’ entries are available here.
A whole gallery of other great entries are visible here.
Thanks to everyone who entered and made our decision so difficult (and fun)!

We’re kind of obsessed with media around here. Games, videos, radio, images…anything sensory and stimulating, we’re all over it. (That’s what she said?) It seems like original, fan-created images are a bit underrepresented, though, in this ocean of eye-rubbing gawkery. Enter: The Deviant Art Video Game Fanart Contest.
Artists, from professional to wanna-be, are welcome to partake. We’ve received some great submissions so far, and are thirsty for more. Also, despite having a lovely trove of prizes to hand out, we need to hit a minimum of 75 entries before selecting the winners—we’re not quite there yet. We know you’re ashamed of your sixty-page Gundam flipbook and your Final Fantasy wall mural, but now is their time to shine (and possibly win you cash). Hit the jump for prizes and more details.
