Top 5 Animals in Video Games

There have always been crazy creatures in video games: Sonic is some sort of human-like hedgehog, Felicia is a cat-girl, and I can’t even begin to explain what a Brumak (Gears of War) really is. Today, on the other hand, we are here to honor those animals who gave some games that extra bit of charm to become great. Grab your dog Rex and your cat Fluffy, because it’s time to take a look some of the best animals in video games.

Keep It Coming: Microsoft Announces DLC for Fable 2

Microsoft just announced that as of December 12th, gamers will be able to get more out of the world of Albion. As of that morning, they will release the first downloadable content pack for Fable II, making a lot of people very happy. I know I will be. But this is another example of how developers are getting the most out of games by offering DLC and extra content. It’s a trend I like and I hope will continue.

The Joy of Fulfilled Promises, a Fable 2 Review

Okay Mr. Molyneux, I know I’ve given you a hard time in the past. I’m not sure how much of it you actually deserved, and I’d just like to say I’m sorry. You have to admit that you gave us gamers an awfully big promise with the first Fable and it, regrettably, didn’t live up to them. Don’t get me wrong, I loved Fable, but because it was a well-polished 3rd-person fantasy adventure with a lovable narrative, not because it was a free-roaming massive RPG like you promised… because it wasn’t. Well, we jaded Fable fans have been waiting a long time for Fable 2, and you’ve promised a lot between then and now. I assumed I would like Fable 2, but out of the deluge of preview coverage, I had no idea how much of it would come true.

VotD: Gameplay of Fable II

I’m a bit of a Fable freak. I’ve been looking forward to this game for years. Unfortunately, a few months ago, my 360 was stolen. So, since I won’t be playing this game anytime soon, even though it’s waiting for me on store shelves right this minute, the most I can do is watch. And this definitely gives me a good idea of what Fable II will look like when I finally get to play. It looks really good.

Jaw-Dropping Upcoming Exclusive Games: A Reason to Console-Splurge

Have you, for one reason or another, not bought a new-gen console yet? Well, it’s perhaps understandable—there are plenty of PC-only gamers, and for good reason—the most graphics-intense, most gigantic (MMORPGs!) games can be found on PC. There are also some of us who are just poor. But you want a reason to hold that controller lovingly. And good games are certainly not just about top-notch graphics and processing. Just which controller you choose remains to be seen. Here are GotGame’s “Jaw-Dropping Upcoming Exclusive Games: Reasons to Splurge on… (InsertConsoleHere).”

The “Whore”-ible Truth About Video Game Hookers

One could say games have matured with age like a fine, smut-filled wine.  Once innocent, 8-bit pastimes, they have evolved into decadent, grandiose monstrosities.  Love them or hate them, you have to give them props for coming this far.  The further they evolve, the more closely they mimic reality—and I’m not just talking about the graphics.

What Fable 2 must overcome to avoid being Fable Version 2.0

Fable propelled the Xbox, making its home as a signature title that defined the system. While the game was imperfect, it presented a visceral experience where we could select a hero and follow their lives, including: conflict, romance, and the consequences of their actions. With the sequel being released in the coming months, forums everywhere are abuzz with the expectations of seasoned veterans and newcomers to the series. The question burning in the back of everyone’s mind is this: can Fable 2 surpass the original beyond that of the normal RPG elements (storyline, weapons, etc.) or will it be branded Fable Version 2.0? At any rate, let’s hope they remove the tropical mosquitoes that keep giving the hero elephantitis.
