The term “badass” has been thrown around way too much in recent years, commonly used to describe someone who is able to beat up others in a stylistic fashion. This is wrong. This ability only makes someone “bad,” “tough,” or “Vin Diesel,” and frankly this type of action hero is a dime a dozen. No…to be considered a true “badass,” much more emphasis must be placed on the “ass.”

Xbox LIVE has a Great Summer


Castle CrashersThe month of August was huge for Microsoft’s Xbox LIVE service. All told, the revenue generated by the service jumped 67% on the heels of the Summer of Arcade promotion, which rolled out several high-profile titles, such as Geometry Wars 2 and Castle Crashers. Add into that the seemingly constant downloadable content additions, and Xbox LIVE has evolved from a service that merely allowed gamers to play together into a full-fledged, one-stop-shopping gaming Mecca.

Villains aren’t given enough credit these days. Let’s face it: they’re pretty much the reason why 99% of games out there exist. Being a protagonist is pointless without having antagonists; otherwise, we’d have games where hippies frolic about in green pastures hugging each other. Lame, right? Similarly, in the real world, the bad guys are the ones keeping newscasts attention-grabbing and bland magazines in business. Yes, they are huge inconveniences, but they give us something to talk about.
