Obama Appoints Gamer to Co-Chair FCC Transition Team


President-elect Barack Obama brings hope and the promise of change with him as he prepares for his transition into the White House, and some of it relates to issues we gamers care about. While it does involve one of my least favorite organizations, the FCC, the good news is that the team Obama has put together to review the FCC includes a WoW player. ‘08 White House Hopefuls to Set the World in Flames


Once the votes are tallied tonight, and the cries of joy or rage ring out across the country, the political storm we’ve been facing the past couple of years shall begin to subside. But Pandemic Studios is going to continue stoking the political flame, so to speak. In a video report on G4TV’s X-Play, it was announced that an upcoming batch of DLC for Mercenaries 2: World in Flames will feature playable versions of both Barack Obama and Sarah Palin.

Presidential Candidates on Video Game Ratings


In this year’s presidential election, neither candidate is really touching on issues that we gamers hold in high esteem. Granted, they have plenty of more important issues to worry about such as the housing market collapse and the stock market going down faster than a woman whose business model is “me love you long time.” Each candidate is trying to appease gaming audiences in their own way; but both have made statements that have flown under the radar, which should interest gamers because they regard the current ESRB rating system.
