The interesting thing about 3D Dot Game Heroes is that it is a throwback to the 80s graphic style. The amazing thing is that the 8bit graphics are realized in full 3D. So what looks really simple is actually an amazing amount of work of blocks and imagination of how the 8bit world would look like.

Add the power of the PlayStation 3 and you have a game that looks old at first glance, but then looks amazing as you take a closer look.

It’s always interesting to see throwbacks to old game styles on current consoles. With that in mind, 3D Dot Game Heroes takes that idea in a entirely amazing direction. Taking the 8-bit style and creating a three dimensional world sounds easy, but from the look of the trailer and the screens, 3D Dot Game Heroes is not going to be a game easily dismissed.
