Sims 3 Site Release

Bored with your real life? Second-Life starting to get a little too expensive IRL? Just got too much time on your hands? Well then you’re in luck. Following the recent announcement by EA, a brand new Sims 3 website has just arrived, providing sneak peeks and progress updates. Most importantly, the site gives 2009 release date.

The follow-up to the hit (and its progeny of expansions) Sims 2, the update seems to add big changes for even greater control little avatars. First of all, character design has been expanded to allow you to model all aspects of your Sim, giving what promises to be unlimited possibilities in not only the Sim’s physical appearance, but also their clothing and personalities. For the interior decorators, designing patterns has been upgraded now involve combining patterns and colors to give you even greater freedom. Perhaps the most significant change is the new, open world. Instead of separated lots and neighborhoods, now your Sim is free to roam, going to and from work, visiting friends and neighbors, or just wander about. If you guys are anything like me, this spells out one thing: a baller virtual life (even at the expense of the real one).
