Sating An Exotic Palate

Kirby loves to eat. That’s kind of his “thing,” if you will.

Munching on Waddle Dees day-in, day-out used to be enough for the little guy. (After all, Dees have a reputation for being crunchy and low in trans fats.)

But those ambling, absent-minded walking snacks with adorable shoes couldn’t hold Kirby’s interest forever.

As a matter of fact, he’s left Dream Land all together. Now, he’s wandering from game to game and… how should I put this?

Taking in the local flavor…

Kirby starts his quest for more elegant cuisine in the Mushroom Kingdom.

As with most of the stuff Kirby eats, that delightful “Bowser mignon” has a bizarre effect on the pink puffball.

The same thing happens with dessert, too.

Next, Kirby decides to switch things up. He trades the rustic countryside for something a little more modern.

Aside from the obvious difficulties that come with trying to digest a 100% cotton sweatshirt, Kirby finds the Hunter quite to his liking.

Astute viewers may have also noticed how concerned Louis looks in the picture above. It should be pretty obvious why.

Now Kirby’s trying his luck up in Northrend. Still eating like a king, no doubt.

I hear malevolent, brooding evil has an absolutely sublime texture, with just a hint of peppermint.

In a sleepy hamlet, Kirby is stricken with an unrelenting craving for beans.

Of course, the meal leaves him feeling slightly bloated and made entirely of burlap.

Kirby ends his whirlwind adventure with a brief stop in the Land of the Rising Sun. He also devours what’s most likely an endangered species.

With that last entree, it appears Kirby’s gone native. Or gone sun-goddess-reincarnated-in-the-body-of-a-wolf. I’m not really up on the lingo.

And that’s the end of Kirby’s journey!

Laughs were had, bonds were formed and half a dozen innocent game characters where eaten alive for no other reason than to fend off the boredom of rotund, marshmallowly sociopath.

Good times.

(All of the sketches of Kirby imitating other video game characters were posted by the good folks over at the Something Awful forums. I figured I best give credit where credit be due.)

  1. Sean Ryan says:

What if Kriby ate a Ditto from Pokemon? Would it collapse time and space?

  2. That Louis-Kirby is my new favorite thing ever.
