Robokill Is a Rock Solid Game

Sometimes you have to find the free gaming alternatives. There’s a point every gamer goes through, where their budget doesn’t quite allow for the latest and greatest gaming experiences. So if you’re a little behind the times because of the current economic crisis, I have a nice little game to satisfy your appetite for a full, robust gaming experience…all for the cost of nothing. Welcome to Rock Solid Arcade.

Rock Solid Arcade first came on my radar due to the game Robokill. Robokill is a full-scale, top-down shooter, but it’s not your typical internet Flash shooter. Not only do you have the ability to pick up new weapons, but you can also pick up cash and purchase new weapons, or sell old ones for more cash. Couple that with a leveling system that makes your weapons and shields stronger, and you have a diverse and varied system that allows you to take a personalized approach to the game. And for no cost at all, you can level up to 16, play the first 4 levels, and save your progress.

Granted, after that you have to pay 10 bucks to get the full game, but the trial alone is far more involved than most flash games you can find anywhere. Even if you do get bored and don’t want to spend the $10 to get the full game, Rock Solid Arcade offers a site full of quality Flash games.

Check out Stunt Pilot, Dogfight, or Planet Cruncher once you max out your character. Though these are much simpler games in comparison, they are still good quality, and a lot of fun. It’s taken me at least eight hours to write this paragraph, because I keep going back and playing these games over and over. ADD + good simple game = I get nothing done.

So, if you’re using GotGame’s new in-game web browser, Rogue, and you’re looking to game while you game, I can’t recommend enough checking out Rock Solid Arcade.  It puts XBLA and PSN to shame with quality games.
