Have you ever wished that your favorite athlete or team would be placed on the cover of the sports titles you buy religiously every year? You’ve paid your dues, and committed hundreds of game play hours; shouldn’t your opinion mean something? Sadly, you don’t have the final say as to who gets placed on the front of games like Madden, NHL, and NCAA 09. It makes no difference whether you want Tom Brady or Mickey Mouse on the front of Madden 09; photo editing programs such as Adobe Photoshop allow users to re-create the covers of popular sports titles the way they see fit.

The process is started by using a blank template of the desired game cover. A picture of the player or team is than selected and edited using the software. Once the picture is cropped, users can add custom effects to the image. After the image is doctored to their taste it is added to the template
and finalized.

These custom covers are created by fans of the games that possess a few Photoshop skills and a lot of free time.
