Take Home a Space Marine!

What could be greater than playing the recently released Dawn of War II ? Well, how about a life-size Space Marine towering above you while you do so. Announced last week via Facebook, five lucky fans in the UK will win a Blood Raven Space Marine statue on February 26th. With an endless wall of comments from eager fans on the contest page, it’s going to be a tough choice for the folks over at THQ.

Anyone who knows anything about the Warhammer universe will tell you that Space Marines are absolutely 1337. They make Lucas’ Stormtroopers look like sissies and Master Chief a n00b. Sporting ridiculously large sci-fi armor and defending humanity from vast hordes of mutants, they’ve managed to pick up quite a reputation. So, if there was one life-size statue they could have made, it’s definitely the Space Marine. Bravo, Games Workshop.

Fans love Space Marines...literally.

The contest is free and requires only that you a) live in the UK (sorry, yankees), b) post a picture of yourself next to one of the five statues at your participating hobby shop, and c) want this colossal figure enough to assemble it. The dimensions being: 180cm x 130cm x 215cm, these Blood Ravens are surely a force to be reckoned with.

Come next Thursday, the winners will most likely be unable to control their joy (and awe) once witnessing one of these seven foot behemoths standing in their living room. Hell, I’m even considering becoming a British citizen just to enter into this epic giveaway!

Wtf? “Ridiculously large sci-fi armor”?! Lissen up, idiot, it is NOT ridiculously large. It is actually pretty realistic when you think of it. As are the Space Marines themselves.

    So STFU.
