NVISION 08: SK-Ladies take home the W

Who says girls can’t game? SK-Ladies reeled in $13,000 in their North American win in the Women’s Counter-Strike 1.6 Grand Finals, in the ESWC. The ladies put in 20+ hours a week of dedication to prepare for this tournament, in addition to being full-time students and having jobs to supplement their gaming careers. These ladies boot-camped prior to the tournament and were definitely well prepared to bring the “W” home.

SteelSeries also announced the new iron.lady Siberia Headset. I hope to see more and more companies jumping on creating these products for Girl Gamers. What’s next, no segregation in competitive gaming? Maybe we’ll see female teams competing in the male tournament–I’m sure there will be quite a few upsets, especially after seeing all of their impressive performances at ESWC.
