It’s no secret that these two gigantic MMOs–World of Warcraft and Warhammer: Age of Reckoning–will produce a war greater than any previously witnessed on the gaming battlefield. In the unforgiving world of MMO dominance, WoW sits on top, undaunted. For the past few years, we have been teased and tickled with Warhammer: Age of Reckoning and its release dates. Now, we’re closer than ever to the release of WAR and EA/Mythic should be deeply concerned. Blizzard will let none survive in its quest for MMO glory, and have literally pulled a fast one in order to maintain their dominance.

When Warhammer Online was first announced, the game aroused resentment among many younger gamers, as it resembled World of Warcraft in many of its aesthetic features — even after those arguments were quashed by older gamers, who pointed out that the tabletop game by Games Workshop has been around for a quarter of a century. Now, another Games Workshop tabletop game is getting the digital treatment. And it’s no surprise that the same allegations are starting to surface once again.
