Riot Games is on a roll as they announced that downloads of their PC game League of Legends in North America and Europe have surpassed the million mark. Within just 3 months since it launched in late October of last year, players have logged 18 million hours in-game, and over 150,000 from the two reagions play each day.
With a slew of “Best of the Year” awards and nominated for a Best Debut award at the upcoming Game Developers Choice Award (part of the Game Developers Conference) in March, free-to-play League of Legends seems to have a bright future ahead of itself.
Mass Effect was one of the first games I purchased for my Xbox 360. It had great game-play, a truly wonderful story, and the characters were very well developed. It also had some terribly repetitive and uninteresting side-missions, and unfortunately, whenever I had friends over to show them this great game, I was showing them the boring side-missions.
So when Bioware announced that Mass Effect 2 was on the way, all my buddies just blew it aside. Boy are they missing out, because Mass Effect 2 improved on every single aspect over the original. This game absolutely blew my mind. In fact, I don’t even know if I have a single thing to say bad about it. If you are like my friends and haven’t yet played the first, check out IGN’s video Mass Effect in 5 Minutes and you’ll be ready to rock and roll!
Online game League of Legends keeps things interesting with another new champion today, and Gragas the Rabble Rouser is probably one of their biggest ones yet - he “towers over” and is nearly twice as wide as most men. Only someone as massive as this guy could possibly hold the vast quantities of liquor he apparently brews up.
Gragas’ strength comes from his liquor, and one of his attributes is that he quite literally gets a health boost from drinking. One guy you wouldn’t want to meet in battle, let alone the bar. For more info and screens of him in action, continue on over the jump.
