This Winter we decided to make it our mission to build one of the best video sharing sites for gamers. Unfortunately, as our power users have seen, GotGame Videos has been hamstrung by a series of outages at our video hosting provider.
We are writing this blog post to apologize for this lack of strong execution. We know that these system outages have meant that some content that was uploaded to the site has not been displayed. We are endeavoring to fix this issue. If you uploaded a video that did not appear on the site over the past few weeks, it should be viewable in your account now.
Additionally, we have refitted the video site with a new player, conversion process, and video streaming service. GotGame Videos now has one of the finest high definition players, as well as some of the fastest video loading times, on the web.
In keeping with the strange tradition of denying audiences easy access to the third installment of series (hey, Final Fantasy and Street Fighter…), the shoot-’em-up arcade favorite, Raiden, has kept its second brother from home view–until now. Why was Raiden III hidden away for twelve long years? Was it too gloriously beautiful, known to blind gamers with its radiance? Or hideously deformed, hunched over a bucket of fish heads and stinking up the attic? Nick looks at Raiden’s deep, dark past, and the reworked PS2 Raiden III, after the jump.
Even though that filet mignon looks delicious, the real focus is on the Logitech gear, like the specially designed, Wii-specific keyboard and two hot new racing wheels for the fast and moderately furious. Luckily, most of the products Steve gets the lowdown on have a release “in the August time frame,” so if you like what you see–get thee to a shoppery. Hit the jump for the full video, and sweet hardware.
With nearly every Final Fantasy game being re-released or remade on handheld systems, (FF and FFII on PSP, FFIV, V, and VI on GBA, etc.), how can you know which portable RPG powerhouse is worth toting about town with you? A good rule of thumb: if the Irate Gamer doesn’t spew pillars of saliva-covered hate all over it, it’s probably worth a run through. He made it through the entirety of Final Fantasy III, and has lived to tell (and rave) about it. And rant a bit, just to save face (more random encounters than the internet has Rick Rolls? C’mon!)
Steve Masters gets a hands-on (and rather successful) look at EA’s Tiger Woods ‘09 at E3. The new game looks gorgeous, plus it’s gotten a top-down makeover with an improved and more informative UI, a coaching addition to help you improve your swing, and the customizable club-tuner. This next edition is coming out August 26 for the PS3, Xbox, Wii, and PSP.
