New Final Fantasy XIII Trailer Released to Public

There has been a lot of buzz surrounding Final Fantasy XIII since last year’s E3 when it was announced that the long-time PlayStation exclusive will be available on the Xbox 360. Well, back in August, Square Enix held a company exclusive press event titled DKS3713 and showed off an all new trailer for the game which has finally made its way to the public. That’s right, a new video showing off more of the game than ever before. The full three minute eyegasm is after the jump.

Okay, so it’s all in Japanese and we don’t even get any dialogue, but the game looks like it’s coming along nicely. At least, the shiny parts of the game that are designed to distract us from what will probably be (in proper Final Fantasy tradition) an overly complex story told through outdated gameplay mechanics.

There’s still no official word on when we can expect this game state-side, but it’s a safe bet that it won’t be until late into 2009.
