Need For Speed: Shift GGL Gaming Competition
It looks like Need For Speed: Shift isn’t going anywhere soon with the newest announcement of the Need For Speed: Shift Gaming Competition.
Electronic Arts with GGL and AutoTrader are announcing a gaming competition running from December 4, 2009 to March 7, 2010 where the top racers will compete. Top Four finalists will journey to Black Box in Vancouver to compete in the live final.
With $40,000 in prizes and AutoTrader giving $30,000 towards the purchase of a new car; there’s nothing to lose in trying for the finals.
Specific Details
Running from December 4th to March 7th, the tournament will challenge the world’s top racers to compete in the ultimate driving competition. Consisting of seven leaderboard qualifying periods, each round will see the fastest 16 drivers qualify for the playoffs.
There is also a special wildcard qualification round in which 16 lucky entrants will automatically make the playoffs. The playoffs will pit the top 128 players in a single elimination bracket to determine the top four drivers. The top 4 will play in a live final at Black Box’s studio in Vancouver!
