Volunteer Opportunities

GotGame News is always looking for new talented writers to contribute. While we always suggest interested applicants apply for the GotGameU Internship program first, sometimes there is not enough time to devote to our rigorous program. GotGame is searching for interested writers who want to contribute to the site outside of the GotGameU Internship.

Writers who are accepted into these Volunteer positions will be able to gain published work on our News page and experience video game journalism from the ground level. The correspondent program is structured so accepted writers are able to express their opinions and ideas while following GotGame News’ requirements.

Requirements

Must have availability to write at least two articles a week of at least 500 words
Must have a working knowledge of grammar and spelling
Must adhere to deadlines and accept editorial guidance from GotGame News editorial staff
Must have knowledge of video game industry and products
Must be 18 years old

Preferred

Experience in writing on the video game industry
Open and concise writing ability
Blog/Website with sample articles
Long-term interest in Volunteer Correspondent position
