Guitar Hero Madness, Now with More Pikachu!
Rock Band has its fair share of editions. Since the initial November 2007 release, we’ve seen Rock Band 2, as well as five track packs, one of which features AC-DC. There are also plans for Lego Rock Band and Beatles: Rock Band.
Et tu, Guitar Hero?
Since the game’s release in November of 2005, there has been Guitar Hero II, Guitar Hero Encore: Rocks the 80s, Guitar Hero III, Guitar Hero On Tour, Guitar Hero Aerosmith, Guitar Hero On Tour Decades, Guitar Hero On Tour Modern Hits, Guitar Hero World Tour, and Guitar Hero Metallica. On the way from the Guitar Hero franchise is Guitar Hero Smash Hits, DJ Hero, Guitar Hero 5, and Band Hero.
Whew…quite a few for the game that has only been around for less than four years. But wait! There are a few more Guitar Hero games on the way to satiate gamer’s need for anything involving more virtual rocking out.
Didgeridoo Hero

Aborigines have been playing didgeridoos for years in Aussie land. Expertly train your body to breath in through your nose while blowing at the same time. With over 50 tracks (each almost 100 years old), this is bound to be an instant classic. Venues include Sydney Opera House, the deep Aussie wilderness, Kangaroo Island, and the Great Barrier Reef.
Additionally, this title could aid in reducing snoring and sleep apnea. Now that’s medicinal music!
Remember, it’s didgeridoo, not didgeridon’t.
Pokémon Guitar Hero
Forget Band Hero! In direct response to Lego Rock Band, Guitar Hero is attempting to nab younger audiences with this exciting new title. Rock out to your favorite songs with Pikachu, Ash, Misty, and Brock. With each eigth gyms to concur and badges to collect, this title will never get old.
Hit songs include the cartoon’s theme, Team Rocket’s “Double Trouble” and “Thriller.” Pika Pika!
Guitar Hero Depression: Rock of the 30s
The 30s may have been a sad time for the United States, but it was a treasure trove of goodness from a musical standpoint. So much, if fact, that this game had to be released as two individual titles!
In the first release, get your swing on with Tommy Dorsey and Guy Lombardo. Brass instuments included in plastic form for your playing pleasure!
Then pour your heart out to the second part featuring the rhythm and blues with such artist as Duke Ellington and Billie holiday. Rock on!
Available for $60 each this summer!

Piano Hero
Guitar Hero finally comes to the iPhone! But this time, it’s via piano. Twist! Piano Hero features amazing tracks with masters from Gershwin, Elton Jogn, and Nikolai Rimsky-Korsakov’s “Flight of the Bumblebee.” How could you go wrong?
Use your cash to score anything from the finest ivory-keyed pianos to a solid gold instrument. Viva la Piano Hero!
Guitar Hero Lil’ Wayne
Releasing alongside the rapper’s new rock-meets-rap album “Rebirth,” this game is hotter than the sun! In the same nature of Lil’ Wayne enjoying wielding a guitar he can hardy play, this new title features watching Wayne’s music videos. Points are earned via holding the guitar in ways that earn the most street cred!
Never has a game done this before! Bonus points are earned for the more tattoos and ice on your body. Release date likely to be pushed back.
