GotGame LIVE Launches Closed Beta Testing

Today is a watershed day for PC gamers everywhere. GotGame has just launched the closed beta of its groundbreaking social gaming application, GotGame LIVE.

This application offers not only superior in-game text and voice chat, but combines new and exciting features like the ability to browse and watch high definition game videos, listen to music, and surf the web–all within your favorite PC games. And with development advancing the application daily, GotGame is set to take over the gaming world.

Using advanced overlay technology, you can set GotGame LIVE’s window transparencies to be as visible–or invisible–as you want. Best of all, you can call up the application in-game whenever you’d like, without having to Alt-Tab.

With Adobe Air, an open source cross-platform runtime environment, ambitious users can create their own in-game applications and widgets to launch through LIVE. So, you can expect limitless additional abilities out of the GotGame LIVE application, from not just us–but your gaming peers as well.

This day has certainly been a long time coming. What started a year ago as the brainchild of CEO and President Win Betteridge has now been realized, thanks to a very dedicated and talented development team, led by COO Tony Van.

While there are a limited number of spots available for closed beta testing, you can still sign up for the waiting list; as the program advances, we will be giving access to more users on a weekly basis. If you would like to join the waiting list, simply register for an account on our registration site. Once a spot is opened, you will be invited to join–it’s that simple. The closed beta program will run for about three months, with open beta set to begin before the end of 2008. Stay tuned for updates about the application.
