GotGame LIVE Incorporates In-Game Web Browser
Gamers rejoice! Through GotGame LIVE (Version 1.1.0), you can now surf the web without having to Alt-Tab away from your game. Every website you frequent, every speck of information or entertainment or awe the web has to offer is there, in-game, just a few mouse clicks away.
Before GotGame LIVE: You’re seconds away from a WoW arena match against two rogues, and you have no idea how to handle them. You Alt-Tab out of the game, open your web browser, and head over to your favorite PvP strategy site to pick up some tips. You then Alt-Tab back in, but you’re already stun-locked and your teammate is crying to the heavens for mercy.
With GotGame LIVE and its in-game browser, you never have to leave the game. Hit the Browser button, scan the web for some arena tips (maybe even take in a YouTube video, if you‘re feeling cocky), all the while keeping your eyes on the screen, the GotGame browser at 50% transparency.
Maybe you’re about to do an instance, and you desperately need to manage your raid’s aggro. Omen Threat Meter to the rescue, but you don’t have the add-on. No problem. Browser your way over to Curse and install it, while not missing any accidental pulls.
Let’s say someone knifed you in Counter-Strike: Source. (Yeah, right, no one can touch you in CS:S. But we’re just pretending.) Dead, now waiting between rounds, and impossibly impatient, you need something to do for those two minutes. Double-check your fantasy football team’s roster, right on top of the waiting room. If the match starts and you’re not finished managing your squad, just up the transparency and leave your roster on the screen.
You get the idea. Games are your soul mate, but the Internet is your secret lover. GotGame LIVE wants to have a ménage à trois: both at once.
This isn’t some romantic fantasy. You’ve raged against Alt-Tab and died because of it. You’ve wished for this technology time and again. And other applications have tried to give it to you—unsuccessfully. GotGame LIVE is the first platform to offer an in-game web browser, viewable and accessible in, on top of, and over the games you play. Unbelievably flexible, readily available, and all over the Internet: no, it’s not porn, but it will satisfy your needs.
Interested in testing out the next killer application in the gaming world? It could not be easier. Just head over to GotGame LIVE’s download page and follow a few simple steps.
The Closed Beta program will run for three months, with open beta slated to begin before the end of 2008.
You’ve GotGame. And we’ve got you covered.
