GotGame at NVISION 08

Three intense days later, NVISION 08 is finally over. While the in-depth coverage of the complete event and happenings will still be rolling out, we thought it’d be fun to get a look at the event from an attendee’s point of view. So here’s our team’s highlights of event’s most memorable moments from NVISION:

Jillian - Editor-in-Chief: The whole thing was amazing, but I mega-swooned over the 3D Age of Empires III demo at the keynote. I can still see its panoramic, reach-out-and-touch-it glory when I close my disbelieving eyes. Beyond that, I really loved just being in the midst of a huge ballroom full of gamers, everyone fragging away under black light and getting faced on Bawls.

Carlos - Associate Editor: My favorite part of the entire event was meeting and getting to know the NVIDIA staff. They were all incredibly friendly and helpful, and made the event so much more personal. In an event that has over 8,000 people, someone from NVISION remembering your name is fantastic.

Claudia - Marketing Analyst and QA Manager: The raffles and giveaways were probably the best of any convention I’d been to. Not only did they give away sweet gear, but they made us earn them. Like standing on one leg with our eyes closed and arms folded, or doing push ups for raffle tickets. Even if I didn’t win, it was fun to watch.

Allen - Marketing Manager: The exclusives were great at NVISION. Sneak preview keys to betas like Battlefield Heroes, Red Alert 3, and Warhammer Online were awesome.

Chris - Marketing Analyst: The ladies. Good God, the ladies…

Joey - Marketing Analyst: It was really neat seeing Tricia Helfer. Even though she plays Cylon scum (who should all burn in hell) on Battlestar Galactica, she was actually very charming and, in my opinion, even hotter in person.

We’d like to thank everyone that we talked to at NVISION, especially the gamers who signed up to beta test our GotGame LIVE application.
