GotGame Acquires GameVee.com

Genesis Interactive, Inc. today announced its acquisition of GameVee.com, the premier video sharing site for gamers, for approximately two percent of its outstanding stock. GameVee, dubbed the “YouTube for Gamers” by WRAL-TV, boasts over 65,000 registered members, more than 64,000 user-submitted videos, and over 1.8 million page views per month. In addition, the service’s video content is embedded on other websites several thousand times every day.
GameVee and GotGame Videos, the GotGame Network’s proprietary video sharing site, are each other’s perfect complements. While GotGame Videos appeals to primarily a PC-gaming audience, GameVee promotes its extensive video library foremost to console gamers. Together, GameVee and GotGame Videos will fulfill both types of gamers’ multimedia desires, from the most ambitious videophile to the lazy screen-smudger.
GameVee is known for having one of the highest quality video players in the gaming video sharing space, as well as some of the most innovative video technologies. For instance, the GameVee platform incorporates “Grab,” a revolutionary technology that makes it dramatically easier to share Xbox 360 video clips on the web, as well as “Highlight,” a technology that enables users to call other viewers’ attention to certain segments of a video. Over the next week, GotGame will incorporate this player into GotGame Videos.

I just found out about GameVee and Grab, then ended up finding out that it was shutdown for some reason. I know a lot of people that would pay money to use grab, including myself. Get GameVee back up and running and make it legal this time so I can show the world how beastly my BR is!!
This is one of the stupidest things I’ve even seen. Their boasting about shutting down something that plenty of people use without even applying the grab to their own website. Even if their working on doing that they should have at least waited untill they could before the shutting it down. The greed of some people!
I’m not sure what article you read, but no one was “boasting” about shutting down anything. This impossibly old piece of news occurred right after GotGame acquired GameVee and fully expected to utilize all of its features, Grab and Highlight included. After months of attempting to work that out and deliver an amazing, new video product to users, the issues with doing so were too great and it was unable to be achieved.
And, if any of you put an ounce of thought into this, you would realize that had GotGame not acquired GameVee, your beloved video site would have shut down, anyway. And everything–Grab, your videos, all of it–would have gone with it, months ago. GotGame did not destroy anything–it extended its life for a few more months. Your anger is vastly misplaced.

Wow, I’m must be the luckiest guy in the world. I get the most lucky round in halo 3, and I just want to show it to the world, but I can’t because I just fucking find out that fucking GotGame fucked up Gamevee and I just figured out like I’ve never done it before and I finally figure out, then they pull this bullshit on me. Why wouldn’t they put in fucking GRAB. it’s like the easiest and best Idea in the world. Leave it to a stupid site like GotGame to fuck this one up. I’m fucking pissed and like Texas 0110 said they just lost another fan. Fucking Idiots.
