Final Fantasy XI and Final Fantasy XIV Trailers
Fresh from the start of the 2009 Tokyo Game Show, Square Enix revealed two new trailers for their upcoming Final Fantasy MMO titles. These two trailers show a lot of info on the upcoming releases and gamers will want to take notice.
Check out the new trailers and more info.
Final Fantasy XIV’s trailer is showing players more about the world where the game takes place, Eorzea. Some people may remember that I attended E3 this past year and at the Sony Press Conference, they debuted the first trailer for the title. Though Sony kind of jumped the gun and said it was a PlayStation 3 exclusive.
This is from E3.

Final Fantasy XI’s new trailer is for the upcoming add-on for the game called: A Shantotto Ascension - The Legend Torn, Her Empire Born. In this add-on, players will have to find out where Professor Shantotto has been since her return to Windurst and why she claims she is the ruler of her own empire.
With the Tokyo Game Show just starting, there’s a lot more information that could be released.

Sony didn’t jump the gun and say it was a PS3 exclusive. They never outright said “PS3 Only”. They said it was the only CONSOLE you could play FFXIV on when it was released, which is still true. That will change once SE can reach a deal with Microsoft that allows the game to run the way SE wants it to on the 360, but until then, it’ll remain a PS3 console exclusive that is on the PC as well.
Sorry to nitpick, but I just see people misunderstanding it so often that it drives me nuts sometimes.
