EA Announces Cast for C&C Red Alert 3: Uprising
Electronic Arts recently announced the cast for Command & Conquer Red Alert 3: Uprising, their stand-alone single-player expansion to Command & Conquer Red Alert 3. Legendary wrestler Ric Flair is among the newcomers, meaning “Wooooooo!” will likely be a new catchphrase for Commanders everywhere, while Ivana Milicevic (pictured on the left) and Gemma Atkinson return. Find out who the other newcomers are after the jump.
Joining Flair in Uprising will be Malcolm McDowell, Jamie Chung, Jodi Lyn O’Keefe, and Holly Valence, as well as Red Alert 3 actors Gemma Atkinson and Ivana Milicevic. Of the new cast members, McDowell boasts extensive experience acting in video games, as the 65-year old actor portrayed Geoffrey Tolwyn in the Wing Commander series. Jamie Chung is appearing as Chi-Chi in the upcoming Dragonball Evolution movie, while Jodi Lyn O’Keefe appeared in Fox’s Prison Break series and Valence appeared in Neighbours.

Chung (far right), Flair (fifth from left), McDowell (fifth from right), Valence (far left), and O'Keefe (not pictured) join returning RA3 actors Gemma Atkinson (second from left) and Ivana Milicevic (not pictured).
Gamedaily reported McDowell’s support for higher quality acting in video games. McDowell explained, “In the past people might have thought you could get away with anything in games and that isn’t a good attitude. Kids are spending a lot of money and time on these games and they deserve first rate performers and I’m glad to say that this is what Uprising is.”
In addition to the campiness that Red Alert fans know and love, the game will include four single-player mini-campaigns and a new Commander’s Challenge mode, with indications that some of the actors figure prominantly in the new challenges.
“I know my kids are going to have a great time trying to take it to me on the battlefield.” Flair said.
Command and Conquer Red Alert 3: Uprising will be released via Digital Download in March at a cost of $19.99 for the PC. EA has not announced any plans to bring the game to the Xbox 360.
