Dragon Age: Origins Pre-Order Collector’s Edition
Anything that Bioware makes is usually going to be a fan favorite. With their solid run of titles, fans have been waiting for Dragon Age: Origins to release for PC, PlayStation 3, and Xbox 360. In celebration, Electronic Arts and Bioware have announced a new pre-order collectors edition of the game.
Dragon Age: Origins will release on November 3rd in the US for Xbox 360 and PC. PlayStation 3 will receive the title in November.
Here’s the deal. Those who pre-order will get access to exclusive items and in-game weapons that won’t be available to gamers who purchase the game on release day. Also included is a limited edition cloth map and a bonus dvd containing content like a making of documentary, concept art, a digital download soundtrack, and more unannounced content.
More specifically, gamers who pre-order will receive three exclusive downloadable items.
The collector’s edition can be pre-ordered at the EA Store for $74.99 for Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 and $64.99 for PC. Not a bad price for a collector’s edition.

There will also be downloadable content for both the regular and collector’s edition of the game.
It will include two special pieces of downloadable content: The Stone Prisoner, as well as a suit of Dragon Age themed armor that can be used in Dragon Age: Origins as well as in Mass Effect 2 on all available platforms.
In Dragon Age: Origins, players take the role of a Grey Warden, one of the last of an ancient order of guardians. Now, as a rising evil threatens to destroy all life, it is up to players to unite the shattered lands and slay the corrupted dragon known as the Archdemon. To restore peace, players must make ruthless decisions and be willing to sacrifice their friends and loved ones for the greater good of mankind.

I watched a video of the gameplay for Dragon Age, and I actually wasn’t impressed. It looked clunky, and the player had to keep pausing the game to tell his companions what to do, which I found quite annoying. I’m anxious to check this one out for myself.
