DLC Rumors Confirmed for GTA IV, We Dream of (more) Flying
It’s been nearly five months since the release of Grand Theft Auto IV, giving gamers ample time to complete every mission, side mission, assassination and stunt jump. If you’ve managed to complete 100% of the game, kudos to you, and I’m sure you’ll be excited to know your quest is not quite over, that is, if you own an Xbox 360.
After numerous rumors and a lot of speculation, Microsoft has confirmed that DLC will be available for GTA IV on the Xbox 360 before Christmas. VG247 and Eurogamer had made previous differing statements, claiming a specific insider source had told them information regarding new GTA DLC. With Microsoft finally making an official statement, these murky waters have finally become a bit clearer.
So what does that mean for Niko Bellic? Well, no specific details of the DLC have been released yet, but it is expected that new episodes will be added to the story line. All different types of rumors have been circulating as to what kinds of content will be available via download. Everything from new weapons and vehicles to entire islands and maps have been mentioned. I know that I personally would like to see things like bicycles and airplanes, but even those sorts of expectations seem a bit lofty at this point.
Regardless of gamers’ wants and wishes, new content being made available is an exciting announcement. Perhaps the new content will be more than just missions, but even if it is only that, isn’t that enough to get excited for? I know I could sure use some more mob work in my life… if only I had an Xbox.
