David Hayter Needs Your Help! Will You Answer the Codec?

HayterSnake, Otacon here. I’m sending this transmission to you via a secure line.

Snake, there appears to be another potential threat. No, not another Metal Gear prototype. In fact, that may be just the problem. It seems that a faction known as H.I.S.S. (Hollywood is Sincerely Stupid) has decided to interfere with the production of a Metal Gear movie. Under the guise of two smaller dummy corporations known as Sony Pictures and Konami, it appears that their intent is to take complete control of it, without the help of David Hayter.

Wait, you are familiar with David Hayter, right, Snake?

You must be. He’s the one that helped you find a voice for yourself on the battlefield. Anyway, it seems that Mr. Hayter is also a screenwriter. What, you didn’t know that? He’s written screenplays for such films as X-Men, X-Men 2, The Scorpion King, and the upcoming Watchmen film, due out in March of 2009. And just recently, he has been selected to adapt the game Lost Planet into a screenplay as well. He’s proven himself quite adept at more than just voice acting.

However, a Metal Gear screenplay is proving to be quite elusive, thanks to the efforts of the two I mentioned before. Considering Mr. Hayter’s proven track record as a screenwriter, as well as the extensive intel he has regarding you and your exploits in saving the world from nuclear disaster and privatized military factions, he would seem to be the obvious choice.

Oh, and don’t worry Snake, he’s not a spy or anything like that; he’s just a big fan. In fact, some would say you think alike.

Now, I know you’re accustomed to doing things on your own, but this is no time for a sneaking mission. In fact, you’re going to have to build an army, Snake; an army of signatures. Recruit as many as you can. The more you have, the better your chances to sway H.I.S.S. in reconsidering Mr. Hayter as screenwriter for a Metal Gear movie. Here’s the website…er… frequency, that you can use to recruit more soldiers: http://www.petitiononline.com/hayter/petition.html

Once the potential recruits have read the petition, they can then “sign” it by clicking the button at the bottom of the page. Hopefully, enough will sign up.

That’s all we can really do for now, Snake. H.I.S.S. is a very powerful faction. And while world dominance may not be the goal of H.I.S.S., they certainly aim to make a lot of people very unhappy.

Best of luck, Snake!

Otacon, out.
