Marvel vs Capcom 2: Iron Man vs Megaman Videos

Jul '0927

Slowly, but surely the release of Marvel vs Capcom 2 is coming for PlayStation Network and Xbox Live. While the 360 is going to receive the game first, PlayStation fans will be able to play the game in August. The videos highlight the strategies of both Iron Man and Megaman and the last video highlights combat between the two rivals.

I was never really good at playing these characters, but with the online release of the game, I will be learning more of the characters beyond my few good combinations.

Stop Trivializing Games

Jul '0924

serious GotGameIf Six Days in Fallujah has shown us anything, it’s that the general public still does not take gaming seriously.

The controversy surrounding the game stems from the belief that a video game can never communicate the horrors of war. They, the critics, believe Six Days would merely trivialize the bloody event by turning it into entertainment.

What the general public fails to realize, though, is that games not all games are there for mindless entertainment. No, many games are an experience with emotional ups and downs that players can empathize with and even learn from. To claim that games can not communicate complex emotions of remorse, respect, or sadness is downright ignorant and insulting.

Chaotic: Shadow Warriors at SDCC

Jul '0923

San Diego Comic-Con doesn’t open to the public until later this week, but gaming companies have already been showing off their new titles to the media. Activision has just released the first trailer for Chaotic: Shadow Warriors at SDCC.

Based off the collectible card game, Chaotic will bring the turn-based system to consoles this fall. With an obvious single player mode, where the game needs to excel will be online multiplayer. Though, since the game was just announced not much information has been released yet, except for the first trailer.

If you are going to be at SDCC, head over to Chaotic’s booth #3449 and check out the title. They will be having drawings for Xbox 360s along with demoing the title.
