With the tournament realm running for several weeks now, we’ve had the privilege of actually practicing a variety of comps, rather than just theorizing about what will and will not work. Our primary focus was PMR of course, but we’ve also had the chance to fool around with a few different comps to see if any of them would be viable in a tournament setting. Our experience has shown that PMR is strong enough to play against anything at the moment.

Before I strolled to the Moscone Center to finish my last day of the Game Developers Conference, I walked over to Union Square in San Francisco to get a preview of Mindfuse Games’ Gatheryn, a steampunk MMORPG. Mindfuse Games is based out of Berkeley, CA; just over the bridge from San Francisco. During my meeting with CEO Joseph Walters and Game Studio Director Isa Anne Stamos, they explained what Gatheryn is, and what it is planned to be.

Back with more cosplay fun, Robot Punch! returns with another interview with one of cosplay’s hottest icons. This round, we speak with Yaya Han, a professional cosplayer, model, and fashion designer.
For nearly a decade, Yaya has travelled to conventions all over the world, adorned in some of the most intricate costumes ever designed. Yaya was able to spare some time from her busy schedule to share with us some insight to the brains behind the beauty.

Life's a Bitch!

Today, at the elementary school where I teach, the kids all voted for their favorite teacher. I was the only one to receive zero votes. When I asked a small group of students why no one voted for me, one boy replied “because you’re the ugliest”.
