Can’t Wii-member your friend codes? Facebook app to the rescue…
“Wii would like to play” - the official tag line of the Nintendo Wii has many gamers scratching their heads in confusion. What’s the problem? They want to play their games online but don’t possess the inherent ability to memorize a slew of sixteen-digit friend numbers and log them into their heads systematically, a la Rainman.
For those Wii players who struggle to remember simple things like the first fifty digits of Pi, you can thank Sam Lu for creating the Wii Friend Number Facebook application. The application allows users to share their Wii console number with their friends on Facebook.
Lu, a freelance web designer and student at Calgary University, created the application in an effort to simplify Nintendo’s complicated online gaming structure. Since its introduction on June 6th, it has already accepted 5,850 members, a number that is expanding rapidly as word of the application spreads.
So if you’d like to simplify your Wii gaming online, Wii Friend Finder will make your life a bit easier. Perhaps Nintendo will implement a more user-friendlier online interface, but until then, this application looks to be the best bet. Don’t forget to add it to your profile. Of course, you’ll have to remember how to find your friend code (a daunting task in itself), so we’ll share some help on that, as well:
We deserve some ["fluff"] friends for this.
