Left 4 Dead 2 Review

Well, it’s that time of year again. The time when all of those big-shot game developers KNOW that you are sitting on your fat butts looking for something fun to do, so of course all of the best games are released! Well we all know that Valve has an impressive track record with The Orange Box and the previous Left 4 Dead, so we should certainly expect nothing less than gold from their new zombie slasher-thrasher, but should you spend your hard earned money on this, or one of the many other new releases? Well I’d like to thank Valve for sending me an early copy of the game to review for all of you, so here are my thoughts on Left 4 Dead 2.

Modern Warfare 2 Review

Man, I never thought today would finally get here. Well, it’s here, the most anticipated game of 2009, Infinity Wards Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 was released at midnight last night, and believe me, I was one of the several hundred people standing in line freezing outside of Gamestop to pick this bad boy up. Well, with all of the anticipation and build up of the game over the last several months, you’d better damn well hope that this game is going to blow your mind. Well, let’s just take a look.

Dirt 2 Review

Well, I’ll be the first to admit, I don’t know squat about cars. Hell, I even grew up in a family whose business was selling them, and I still couldn’t tell you what a rear differential was. Nonetheless, Codemasters sent me a copy of their newest racing game Dirt 2, and all I’ve got to say is DAMN! Now, I haven’t even played a racing game since one of the early Need For Speeds on the PC, and back then, there wasn’t much skill involved to be a leet driver, you just held down the gas pedal and drove. So take this review for what it’s worth. I’m not a racing game guy, but I thought this game was amazing! Released this past September for all consoles and handles, and this coming December for the PC, is Codemasters’ Dirt 2.

Borderlands Review

Apparently there are some of you out there who haven’t heard of Borderlands. Apparently there are some of you out there who are skeptical of Borderlands. Well let me give you the scoop, because this game is freaking awesome!

You know me, though, I love me some Role Playing Games and I love me some First Person Shooters, and Borderlands is the beautiful love child of the two. Thank you 2K Games for providing me with a copy of this wonderful game. Released on October 20th for the 360, PS3 and PC by Gearbox Software and 2K Games, here’s my thoughts on Borderlands.

Tales of Monkey Island Episode 4 Review

Well, here we are again with the next episode of Tales of Monkey Island. Released this past Friday, The Trial and Execution of Guybrush Threepwood continues right where episode 3 left off.

Recall that Guybrush had just escaped from the stomach of a giant manatee and got a hold of La Esponja Grande when out of the blue; Morgan La’Flay betrayed and captured him to return him to the Marquis DeSinge. If you haven’t yet seen my reviews of episodes 1 through 3, you’ll want to check those out first, otherwise, here’s a quick run-through of what you’re going to experience in The Trial and Execution of Guybrush Threepwood.

Klonoa Review

Released for the Wii this past May was a remake of Namco Bandai’s classic 1997 Playstation side-scroller Klonoa. I had heard lots of good things about this game before I got a chance to play it, but I really had no idea what to expect going into it. Well I’d like to thank Namco Bandai for providing me a copy, because it was a blast to play. Klonoa is not your standard 2d side-scroller as it has some really cool design features that keep your gaming experience enjoyable.

Magna Carta 2 Review

Namco-Bandai, since when do you make Japanese role-playing games? While I certainly appreciate you sending me a copy of your new game Magna Carta 2 to review, I have to admit, I was initially pretty skeptical going into it.
Do you have what it takes to make a good JRPG? Well after playing it, the answer most certainly is yes. Magna Carta 2 is phenomenal. Combining elements of World of Warcraft, Infinite Undiscovery, and Star Ocean: The Last Hope, I’d say you’ve got it all!

The Last Remnant Review

Well, I’ve reviewed several Square-Enix games now; some that I’ve really enjoyed, and some that I couldn’t stand. The Last Remnant was released for the Xbox 360 on November 20th of 2008, and for the PC on April 9th of 2009. It takes a little bit of a different spin on the Japanese Role Playing Game market by giving you some cool features and an exciting new turn-based battle system that takes significant amounts of strategy and skill. On top of that, this is by far the most challenging Role Playing Game I’ve ever played. Now, it is not without it’s faults, but I greatly enjoyed myself throughout my entire play through of this title, so here are my thoughts, on The Last Remnant.

Check out my video review for all of the details!
