Eric Totten of New Jersey, and Michael Dehen of Pennsylvania both attend DeVry University online, studying Game and Simulation Programming. But it’s not just a school to these two. The two met online through DeVry and let ends meet. Each had a piece to a puzzle they were both trying to complete.

Who says girls can’t game? SK-Ladies reeled in $13,000 in their North American win in the Women’s Counter-Strike 1.6 Grand Finals, in the ESWC. The ladies put in 20+ hours a week of dedication to prepare for this tournament, in addition to being full-time students and having jobs to supplement their gaming careers. These ladies boot-camped prior to the tournament and were definitely well prepared to bring the “W” home.

Nexus pulled back in from the lower bracket in the COD4 Finals, to win the 1st place prize of $5000. Props to pure gaming for giving them all they got, great matches fellas! A great win for North America as SK-Ladies sweep the Counter-Strike women’s competition. Young Alexey ‘Cypher’ Yanushevsky takes home the Quake 3 title.

The first stop of the new Major League Gaming PC circuit took place in San Diego this weekend. Most of the best World of WarCraft players in the world were in attendance. Team Pandemic and SK-Gaming went in as favorites in the prized 3v3 double elimination WoW bracket, but less well known teams took home glory. We chronicle the tournament from start to finish.
